However, when I try to view it using the Netflix App, or through Microsoft Edge it simply doesn’t work. Nothing wrong with my inbuilt monitor, drivers, bios etc. Make sure you have a Recent Nvidia that support 4K or a Inter 7th series and then download this codec! My previous external display supported neither 4K nor HDR and same goes with the internal display of the laptop.

This issue seems related to a Windows 10 update as this happens with both Edge and Netflix and rolling back to previous versions of GPU drivers seems to have no effect.
I suspect Windows 10 November Update broke this functionality. If the issue disaapears, please try to wait for a period of time and play again to see if it returns to normal.
