So yeah im really going insane over this, literally any light i would greatly aprreciate it , thanks in advance. To assist you with your concern, let us first boot your computer to Normal mode to isolate the issue.

Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. You could try turning on the Built-in Administrator account in Command Prompt in order to be able to backup your files.

Start your PC, then just after the Manufacturers logo disappears and Windows 10 tries to boot, press and hold the power button down for 5 – 10 seconds to perform a hard shut down Do this Twice On the third boot attempt, Windows will boot into the Windows 10 Repair Environment, from there you can access Startup Recovery, Safe Mode, Command Prompt.

Reboot and try to log into the Administrator Account, if it looks for a password leave it blank, log in and backup your files. With regard to the original Account, I read somewhere a long time ago it is a very bad idea to name an account in Windows as User, I cannot for the life of me remember the reasoning behind this, only that it can cause big problems. If I were you, while logged into the Administrator Account, create a new User Account with a different name, delete the one named user, reboot and use the new account.

Ill try that as soon as i get home, but i was wondering, i did that to some exctent, i restarted the computer using shift , and it led me to the recovery options where i went to almost every option, for example the command prompt, to use that i need to restart the pc, so i restart it, and when the command prompt should appear i was prompted a screen where i need to input my password not the traditional win10 login screen , its like a more primitive one, and same with other options.

So yeah im wondering if either using for example the media creation tool for a recovery usb will prompt me the same password screen im trying to avoid, or should i alltogheter must go with my last option upgrade install ,because ive been hearing there has been a lot of file loss reported in the windows 10 upgrade instalation, personally never happened to me with any other upgrade install in previous os.

Well i got windows 10 with the latest updates on my pc, and i was trying to boot into safe mode to uninstall something and i suddenly found myself not being able to log in. I log with a pin, and right now im being asked a password that i have never asigned, the user in question is called user and none of my pin passwords seem to work , so im stuck in this safe mode loop stage. So well ive actually done most of the steps ive seen in other threads, that involve restarting the pc with shift but every one of the seem to need me inputting my password that i dont have , so at this point im really worried, i got some really important work stuff that i cannot lose.

Through option 1 im wondering will i still get prompted the password screen or because im booting it from the usb will it work? So yeah im really going insane over this, literally any light i would greatly aprreciate it , thanks in advance. I can’t say for sure if you would need a password to get to the command prompt if you boot with Windows Installation media Flash Drive or DVD But I don’t think so.. I would suggest removing your HDD, hooking it up to another machine, and copying off your files OR maybe better yet Get ahold of a bootable Linux based file management program I use a program called Parted Magic It has a lot of Disk Management type tools, one of which is File Explorer It will allow you to access your hard drive and copy files without taking things apart OK, you do definitely not need to enter a password to get to the Command Prompt from the Windows Recovery Environment, if you are asked for a password, then this could be a different issue – malware.

If you can get into the Recovery Environment and go to Troubleshoot – Advanced options – Command Prompt, if you are asked for a password at that point, please take a photo of your screen and post it here Click the second last button on the toolbar above to upload the image. Im not home right now, so this picture im ataching is not mine, but its basically the screen im getting. Edit: forgot to add that instead of it saying admin it says user, other than that its preety the same.

So well i was actually considering a lot your third option , but im not sure if i got the steps right. Or can i somehow put it in a usb , maybe using another software, and run it directly through the usb, like i would run a linux live os, and then do that?

That actually looks legit enough, that image looks like a Window you get when trying to restore from a System Image Backup, not trying to use Command Prompt from the Recovery Environment. It runs out of your memory and doesn’t install.. It can be put on a bootable flash drive as well, but that requires a 3rd party tool to do If you try this, when you get to step 2, browse fairly down the provided list to the System Tools section, where you will find Parted Magic, then for step 3 just browse to the Parted Magic file I provided the link to..

The drive listings are a bit different than Windows, but you basically just copy and paste the stuff you want to backup to another drive of some type Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.
